Pinwheel Therapy is now hiring Speech Language Pathologists and Special Education Teachers for full-time and part-time school positions across Houston and Arizona. Clinical fellows and bilingual therapists are welcome! All school contracts include 16 weeks off for summer break and holidays. With Pinwheel Therapy you can take your summers off and spread your pay out over 12 months!

Sally Vulcano, CEO & Founder, M.A. CCC-SLP
Sally Vulcano is a prominent Speech Language Pathologist with over 40 years' experience in the evaluation and treatment of adults and children. Sally is a published author, and has developed comprehensive pediatric and adult therapy techniques that are being successfully applied in educational and clinical settings. Sally loves spending time with her family, friends and her mischievous dog, Norman. Sally, like all of our therapists, combines knowledge, experience and a humble desire to better the lives of children.
Austin Vulcano, Director Of Operations / Designer
Austin is the Director of Operations and Marketing for Pinwheel Therapy. He was valedictorian of his high school class and graduated from the Art Institute of Phoenix with a B.A. in Graphic Design. Austin has over 14 years experience in marketing and advertising in addition to medical billing and operational management in the pediatric therapy arena. Austin's dedication and sense of humor is contagious. In his spare time, Austin enjoys painting, photography, composing music on the piano, astronomy, and most of all, spending quality time with his beloved Scottish Terrier Willow.
Lizzy, Director of Therapy, M.S., CCC-SLP
Lizzy is the Director of Therapy for Pinwheel Therapy. Lizzy received her Master’s degree at Ithaca College. She and her family have had the pleasure of living and working in New York, Alaska, Pennsylvania, Texas and Arizona. Lizzy has fine tuned her clinical skills working with children in a wide variety of settings and with a range of abilities. She has a passion for functional communication, assistive technology and speech sound disorders. Lizzy has a thirst for learning and challenging herself personally and professionally. She is a Certified Lactation Counselor and aspires to get board certified one day. When she’s not working Lizzy enjoys spending time with family, doing outdoor activities, reading, exercising, and creating and eating delicious food!
Justine, Lead Speech Language Pathologist, M.S., CCC-SLP
Justine is one of Pinwheel Therapy's exceptional Speech Language Pathologists who we are excited to promote to a Houston Lead Therapist. She brings extensive experience and a passion for enhancing communication skills in both adults and children. With a Master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University, she has thrived in diverse clinical settings and particularly enjoys working with children in educational environments. Justine is committed to empowering her students to reach their communication milestones and fosters a collaborative environment where fellow SLPs, Clinical Fellows, SLP-Assistants, and graduate students can achieve their professional goals. She believes in making therapy sessions fun and engaging to maximize learning outcomes. Outside of work, Justine enjoys seaside retreats, exploring new cities, and cherishing moments with her family and beloved dog, Rufus.
Mary, Lead Speech Language Pathology Teletherapist, M.Ed., CCC-SLP
Mary is the Lead Speech Language Pathology Teletherapist for Pinwheel Therapy. She received her master of education degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Valdosta State University in 2014. Mary has worked in various states, focusing on the public school setting, but has called Texas home for the past five years. Mary is passionate about working with gestalt language processors, augmentative alternative communication, and mentoring other speech therapists. She enjoys spending time with her two children and husband and fostering Great Pyrenees pups!
Amanda, Lead Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist, M.S., CCC-SLP
Amanda has been promoted to bilingual lead SLP for Pinwheel Therapy. She graduated in 2007 with her Masters from Texas State University. Amanda has extensive experience in both adult and pediatric settings. She particularly enjoys working with the 0-5-year-old population with immersion of language stimulation and play exposure. Recently, Amanda has become a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) to better support this growing population. In addition to her professional pursuits, she is an active member of the 501st, a volunteer Star Wars costuming group! Through this group, Amanda raises funds for various charities at comic conventions and specialized events. Amanda and her husband are proud parents to two children, as well as two dogs and two cats. Despite their busy schedules, they prioritize family time through gaming, movie nights, and going on small adventures.
